God and Finances
Leader: Dave Huddleston
8:45am, Room 133
God, I know that your word states: “But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.” (1 Timothy 6:6-8) But, I am having a bit of trouble with that last part, “content,” but I’m doing really well on the “take nothing out of it” part.
* Budgeting: Why do I have so much “month” left at the end of my money?
* Savings: Are you kidding? I do NOT have any money to save!
* Retirement: If I save in the next 20 years, the same amount that I have saved in the last 20 years,
I will never be able to retire.
Romans
Leader: Ray Guire
10:30am, Room 133
No other portion of scripture so completely sets forth the great doctrines of the Christian faith as does Paul’s epistle to the Romans. This epistle confronts the mind of man with the truths of God. In this study, we will look at the doctrines of justification, sanctification, divine election, condemnation, the perseverance of the saints, total depravity, the last judgment, the fall of man, the revelation of God in nature, the final restoration of the Jews and many more!
Our Anchor in Troubled Times
Leader: JoLynn Gower
10:30am, Room 150 [audio]
The news can be frightening, and our world seems chaotic, almost out of control! But there is a peace that the believer can have in the midst of it all. This peace begins with a relationship with God and builds as intimacy with God develops. Such peace and intimacy isn’t accidental; it only happens when a believer intentionally chooses to pursue God. In this application class, we will explore scriptures that help us find intimacy with God, live for Him in a sinful world, respond appropriately to a troubled culture, and find peace in the midst of the confusion. Together, we will intentionally pursue God, our anchor in troubled times.
