21 Days of Fasting & Prayer

No, prayer and fasting did not go out of style decades ago. That’s what some believers seem to have concluded – at least subconsciously – that fasting and prayer are no longer intended for believers in today’s world. The truth is, fasting and prayer are for today! In fact, now more than ever! Fasting and praying are Bible-based disciplines that are appropriate for all believers of all ages throughout all centuries in all parts of the world, including the body of believers right here at Meadowbrook.

Here at Meadowbrook we are asking you to consider a 21 day fast beginning Sunday, January 8. Your fast may look entirely different from others…we are suggesting a Daniel Fast. The concept comes from Daniel 1:8-14. It is essentially eating only fruits and vegetables. The Bible nowhere commands believers to observe a Daniel fast. As a result, it is a matter of Christian freedom whether to observe a Daniel Fast. For more information on the Daniel Fast, we recommend DanielFast.wordpress.com.

Join us for corporate prayer on Wednesdays at 6:30pm. Fasting and prayer can put you in the best possible position for a “breakthrough.”
