The Early Childhood ministry is a caring and safe place for our youngest Meadowbrook attenders. There are four levels of ministry provided because we want to do more than babysit your children, we want to provide teaching and social activities specifically designed to meet their developmental needs. The Early Childhood staff use age appropriate curriculum that engages the children with stories and songs. All the classes also have a snack and structured play time.
All of our Early Childhood workers have been carefully screened and undergone a background check. The parents of children up through the age of three are given pagers and a specific number so you can be alerted if your child needs your attention. If your child is aged four through Kindergarten you will be assigned a specific number card so you can be notified if you are needed in the classroom. Your children will only be released to you. We want you to feel safe when leaving your child in one of our classrooms.
Creation Station (Birth through 18 Months)
Creation Station is a great place for children beginning in Meadowbrook Kids Central. Our nursery provides a safe, clean and cheerful environment. You child will be placed with trained, friendly nursery workers. Creation Station is a bright well-equipped nursery located near the main sanctuary.
Toddler Town (18 Months to 3 Years)
The next level of preschool classes in Kids Central is Toddler Town. The children will hear age-appropriate Bible lessons from a theme-based curriculum that is divided into four related lessons for each monthly theme. There are simple crafts for the children to complete and time for structured play. There will be opportunities for the children to worship in song and learn how to pray in a group.
Preschool Park (3 Years to 5 Years)
Preschool Park is the third level of the Kid Central ministry. The children continue to develop and grow in their relationship with Jesus. Teachers assist the students as they learn to work together in the classroom and develop friendships. Children learn about Jesus through stories, songs and puppets. They will be encouraged to pray for and encourage one another.
Junior Junction (5 Years through Kindergarten)
Children in Junior Junction will have fun learning the Bible and memorizing scripture. They will have the opportunity to do crafts and games that will reinforce the lesson. Praying for each other continues to be encouraged. Junior Junction students are prepared for the transition to elementary classes by participating in KC live worship with the big kids.
