Ministry at Meadowbrook plays an integral part in the growth and spiritual maturity of all members. Ministry also reaches out to the community spreading the love of Christ through the use of our Spiritual gifts.

Fusion

Fusion (our ministry to young adults ages 18 to 30) is utilizing a new format! Fusion small groups are offered at various times of the week, each focusing on young adults in more specific seasons of life. They are as follows:

- Fusion College Age Ministry hosted Mark and Jennifer Bettinger. This group meets regularly on Tuesdays for times of learning, laughing , and growing. Join us at 7:00 PM at the Bettinger's home located at 204 N. Victor Street in Champaign.

- Young Married With Children Fusion Group hosted at Curtis and Malissa Shoaf’s home, led by Pastor Joe Barth – second and four Thursdays at 7:00pm

Small Groups

Small groups are an integral part of our spiritual walk. While our church grows, we look to the small group to allow for the intimate relationships with one another. It also allows for you to spend time with someone who may attend a different service. This close contact helps us to grow together in a smaller group setting and allows for a time of bonding.

THe small group structure at Meadowbrook is set up in a trimester format with three optional starting and stopping points. The trimester model will allow for regular opportunities for people to join in or create new small groups throughout the year. The pastoral leadership team also plans on giving an optional suggested study each trimester for small groups to utilize. The trimester calendar will be as follows:

  • September thru November - In session
  • December - Break
  • January thru March - In session
  • April - Break
  • May thru July - In session
  • August - Break

If facilitating a small group sounds like something the Lord may be calling you to do, or if you currently lead a small group and intend on continuing to do so through our first trimester, please contact Pastor Joe Barth by August 6 so that proper promotion can be made. The month of August will be used to promote the small groups.

One little added feature to this plan is that the second and fourth Sunday evenings will be dedicated to small group ministry and childcare will be provided at the church from 6:00 to 9:00pm (for a very nominal charge), in order for people with small children to attend a small group. For more information on this added feature, contact Pastor Joe.
