Due to the sensitive nature of missions work and the safety of the individuals involved, limited information is available for publishing on our site in regard to specific mission events. From time to time, information will be published here regarding missions in a general nature. If you would like more information concerning the missions outreach please contact the church office at 217-351-3019. |

| Love Works
Love Works is a ministry in the church, with the goal of “taking care of those in the fellowship of faith.” The Love Works team oversees the benevolence line in the church budget, organizes the food pantry, plans special projects (oil changes, school supply drives, holiday blessings, etc.).
This upcoming year, Love Works is going to focus on helping connect people within the church to other people in the church with the purpose of helping to take care of each others’ needs. This might include a “stuff swap” or setting up a weekly publication of needs so that someone might read about it and can help take care of it. It also will include establishing a database of people who want to use their gifting and service to serve others in the church.
If you would like to be on the database, please contact Pastor Joe letting him know of the service you would like to offer, in case the need would ever arise. Please pray that Meadowbrook would become a church where people genuinely love and take care of the needs of one another.

Missions Faith Promises
Faith promises begin in April of each year. Faith promises run for a year after that date. If you have not had an opportunity to make a faith promise, it is never too late. Please stop by the church office or send an email for details on how you can become involved.
What is a Faith Promise?
- Giving that enables every Christian to have a part in fulfilling the Great Commission.
- Giving that stretches the faith of the giver past its current boundaries
- A plan for giving to God's work in addition to your regular tithes and offerings.
- An agreement between you and God, based on NOT on your resources, but on your faith.
The Faith Promise is the basis for Meadowbrook's financial support of the world missionsaries and the support of their work. Each month MCC contributes towards these ministrie's and living expenses with a set amount. In that way, our congregation truly becomes partners in their kingdom work, along with prayer and relationship. Every 3-4 years, when they are in the States for furlough, we evaluate our giving amount and because of faith promises, that support can increase accordingly. Increased giving also enables MCC to support new missionaries.
Please be in prayer as March 6, 2005 draws near and how God would have you become involved in supporting our missionary families and their world missions work. |
